The world is in constant movement, there is no doubt about it! This movement is what makes us experience good moments and more complex situations, in which, sometimes, we are unable to recognize our potential to go further.

All of us, at a certain point in our existence and professional relationships, come across these situations. And, in this article, I want to show you the importance of recognizing professional and personal evolution in an adverse context.

The challenge of teleworking
Teleworking is no longer new for many workers who, around the world, see remote work as a way to maximize their available time on a daily basis. For me, this is something new and I confess: a great challenge! Physical interaction and interpersonal relationships are key points in my day-to-day life and it was through this contact that I developed my professional career. I am inspired by sales in the face-to-face sector and the entire process involved. It is difficult for any professional in the field to describe a typical work day, as none of them are the same! The only common factor is physical contact with customers.

That said, feeling frustrated and unmotivated at some point in your life is completely normal. A life without frustration or sadness is a utopian existence.

What differentiates people is the way each of them deals with their pain. There is a frequently cited phrase that says “pain is inevitable, suffering is optional”. I truly believe in this quote because I know that it is pain that can become true driving forces in the evolutionary process.

If we analyze our trajectory, we clearly realize that our life, our routines are no longer the same as last year and even last week. From the moment we make the decision to evolve, the first transformation is the awakening of our ability to identify and take advantage of both opportunities and challenges.

Growth depends on ourselves
On March 16th I started a new challenge, working remotely. I changed routines, operating modes and most importantly: I discovered new platforms, new sales methods and I am certain that today, I am a more complete professional. I evolved and strengthened my sales processes and this was my choice.

In my professional relationship as a Retail Commercial Supervisor, it is still common to find people who believe that their personal evolution depends on others. Believing that to evolve it is necessary for people around you to do something, or for the company to take certain measures, is not correct! The truth is that our evolution and growth depend solely on us.

Once we are able to discern all these issues, we are able to enhance our self-esteem, identify our purpose and create professional goals. This makes it possible to adapt and develop new capabilities and skills.

I hope this content contributes in a truly powerful way to your evolution – whether personally or professionally.
